How to check Emails Of Multiple Email Addresses At One Mail address so as you dont need to log in to each and different email account seperately daily to check for all mails. You can consolidate all your emails to one mail address with the help of gmail. As i have 4 email address and chek my mails twice a day,so i have to login 8 times but now i am using gmail feature and use to login only one email address to check the mails of all email adresses in one go.

Receive messages for other addresses in your Gmail inbox

There are two ways to receive email from other addresses in Gmail: using Gmail's Mail Fetcher feature or by forwarding your other addresses' mail to Gmail automatically.

Option 1: Set Up Gmail's POP Mail Fetcher

Most likely your former email provider offers POP (Post Office Protocol) access for retrieving messages for it. Gmail's Mail Fetcher feature can retrieve those messages via POP and display them in your inbox alongside messages that come directly your Gmail address, too. You can fetch email from up to five other email addresses via POP in Gmail.

To use Gmail's Mail Fetcher, your old email account must offer POP access. Not all free addresses offer POP, but most do. Check the other account's settings or contact customer support to find out if POP access is available on your non-Gmail account. You'll need three settings: the POP server address, port, your username and password. Also, if you haven't already, you'll need to sign up for a free Gmail account.

How do I forward my mail to another email account automatically?
Gmail lets you automatically forward incoming mail to another address, if you'd like.

Here's how to forward messages automatically:

1) Sign in to Gmail.
2) Click Settings at the top of any Gmail page, and open the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
3) Enter the email address to which you'd like your messages forwarded.
4) Select the action you'd like your messages to take from the drop-down menu. You can choose to keep Gmail's copy of the message in your inbox, or you can send it automatically to All Mail or Trash.
5) Click Save Changes.

You also can set up filters to forward messages that meet specific criteria. You can create 20 filters that forward to other addresses. You can maximize your filtered forwarding by combining filters that send to the same address.

How to make Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla or Opera Your Default Browser

>> Thursday, March 12, 2009

Changed your mind about which browser you want as your default browser -- the browser that opens when you click on HTML files, when you type an URL into the Windows "Start | Run" input box, etc.?

During the installation process, both Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator browsers will ask whether you want them to be your default browser. Here's how you could change the default browser once a browser is installed on the system

Internet Explorer :

  • Select "Tools | Internet Options" from the main menu in Explorer.
  • Change to the "Programs" tab.
  • Check the "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser" option.
  • Click "OK".
  • Close all Explorer windows and restart the system. Once the system comes back up, restart Explorer.
  • When the "Would you like to make [Internet Explorer] your default browser?" prompt appears, click "Yes" to make Explorer the default browser.

Mozilla :

  • Select "Edit | Preferences" from the main menu in Mozilla.
  • Change to the "Navigator" tab/section.
  • Click the "Set Default Browser" button.
  • Click "OK".
  • Close all Mozilla windows (for best results, restart the system). Finally, restart Mozilla.

Netscape

  • Select "Edit | Preferences" from the main menu in Netscape.
  • Change to the "Navigator" tab/section.
  • Click the "Set Default Browser" button.
  • Click "OK".
  • Close all Netscape windows (for best results, restart the system). Finally, restart Netscape.
  • When the "Netscape 7.x is not currently set as your default browser. Would you like to make it your default browser?" prompt appears, click "Yes" to make Netscape the default browser.

Opera :

  • Select "File | Preferences" from the main menu in Opera.
  • Change to the "Default Application" tab.
  • Check the "Check if Opera is default browser on startup" option.
  • Click "OK".
  • Close all Opera windows (for best results, restart the system). Finally, restart Opera.
  • When the "Would you like to use Opera as your default application for viewing web pages?" prompt appears, click "Yes" to make Opera the default browser.
